The element Molybdenum forms the core of FDL's Mineral Science Technology.

Used extensively in lubricants the planar, graphene like structure of this versatile material coats key surfaces in critical machinery and prevents metal to metal contact.  FDL's in depth understanding of the structure and function of the molybdenum and its salts allows us to offer tailored solutions in this exciting field.

Products in this range consist of:

Molybdenum Disulphide (MOS2)

Lithium Hydroxide monohydrate (LiOH)

Molybdenum Disulphide is an inorganic compound of the naturally occurring mineral molybdenite. Its appearance and feel is similar to graphite and it is widely used as a solid lubricant due to its low friction properties. We are one of the leading suppliers of in Europe of MOS2 with almost 10 years experience in the Industry. The product is packed in 25kg fiber drums or palletised bags, which we sell via our central storage locations in both the Netherlands and the USA.

We are entirely focused on the whole Molybdenum supply chain, from base material through to the derivatives, which gives us expert knowledge on all aspects of the market, thus allowing us to advise customers about timings on their purchases for this high value product.
